Speculation Can Be Your friends - Heroes spoiler discussion
Yes, I know I have a spoiler habit, i need help, I'm working no it. Damn NBC summaries getting me off the wagon. :(
Okay... so i've never been too into posting my spoiler ideas here. I will bring them up on message boards if it comes up, but mostly I end up Pming
by7the7sea</lj> or
fangirljen</lj>.
But after a few of my major ideas came true, and encouragement by Jenthefangirl, here i am.
Now another reason I don't do it, is I don't think these are the absolute facts, I just have a good feeling it all COULD go that way, so I won't be surprised if it doesn’t, it's just one of the many ideas that could happen.
And a lot of the time my ideas are based on quotes from actors and my knowledge of themes and structure and sometimes that's hard to explain, it's just a gut thing, but after this, I have been encouraged to post.
This being after, a few months ago this was an PM I sent
fangirljen
, who can attest to that (after reading an interview with
Me: "I know this sounds really weird, but I think Arthur is the big bad?"
Her: "That is crazy."
Me: "I know! I don't even know how I feel about it, but it seems like what they are saying." (Especially since I wanted him to be dead... but not anymore BTW)
And well it led from there, with the thought he had to be running Pinehearst. So here we go.
Things I've predicted that seem like they are true
~Arthur is the big bad and running Pinehearst
~ Tracy and Niki are clones. The Company implanted the "clone eggs", ala Dolly the sheep, (see wiki, if you don’t know how they do it) into women who gave birth to the children, thinking they were their own. This let the Company see how powers develop. It's testing Nature vs Nurture. Each clone is genetically the same person, but based on who brought them up and the environment they all developed different powers, manifested differently.
The cold, rich girl, who pushes in her emotions had an ICE power.
The girl from an abusive home got super strength.
This was because the theme of Nature vs Nuture in the upcoming season AND hearing that Ali was playing a new character ireminded me of the movie/book Anne to the infiite Power
In the movie/book (Check the link for more detail) all the clones have different personalities based on growing up in different places with different people.
When I knew I was right?: What seems to suggest they writers are paying homage to the cult movie/book in some respect. On Heroes AND in the movie/book the doctor's name was... wait for.... Zimmerman.
Jen and I had a little freak out. lol.
~Future Claire works for Pinehearst (she has a pin from Pinhearst on her label)
~Nathan, Tracy and Mohinder will all work together thinking they are helping the world by finding a serum to give people powers, or at least to find out the origins. They end up causing the bad future, all along thinking they are doing good. They get taken in my Arthur and his Company.
This is based on Mohinder having scenes with Arthur. Niki, Tracy and Mohinder's storyline coming together by many accounts. Adrian Pasdar's comment that whose to say he has a nemesis, "Maybe I'm someone else's nemesis."
And the whole series, which shows that time just reheals itself and gets back on course. In the future Nathan isn't on Peter's side, Peter sees Nathan as a bad man. "Where i come from you had a different future. But now you're on the path to becoming the brother I looked up to."
Nathan (and most of the audience) see's his father as the good one and his mother has the bad one, so he will side with his father for a while. But in the end see his mother is on the good side and his father wants to profit over
Not as much proof yet, but seems to connect
~Angela gave Bridget's power to Sylar for a reason, he NEEDs that power for his journey, hopefully to prove who she is to him. Perhaps give Sylar a new perspective on things...?
But most importantly. I predict it's a device to get us into the episode 8 flashback. I think after his encounter with Sylar, Peter will take on the touch power and at some point will come into contact with some of his mother's jewelry or an object... I'm gonna guess the ring since she wears it all the time.
~In the end Nathan (and Peter) will see their mother is on the right side of this one. Perhaps causing Nathan to be somehow responsible for his father's death (I really hope they don't kill him, but how do you win over such a powerful guy) which will bring him much guilt.
Too far away to really have Proof
If Heroes is famous for trying to change the dynamic on us, have our characters be in new and different positions then for three seasons HRG was always be the hunter, in control.
If Vol 4 is going to have a Tommy Lee Jones like character from the fugitive, an FBI agent on the hunt for someone, like a hunger. It makes me think. Will HRG be the hunted this time? Just a thought. Don't know how I feel about it yet, he was on the run already, but I can see how the writers would want to change the dynamic.
Also...
Anyone find it very telling that Angela is the influence that turns Sylar into a good guy and away from her he was evil, it's like he's become Peter in the future - the one Angela raised.

This is great speculation. I'm loving this season so much. \o/ Thanks for the post.
